The Plum Island Soap Co. was started in 1999 by Michele Diodati-Ulchak, a new mom who wanted to work from home to be with her baby (see our homepage!). "I had been making soap as a hobby for years and had so many family and friends encouraging me to sell that wonderful, gentle soap!"

While commuting to Boston to my office job for several years, I dreamed of starting my own business. With the help of my family, friends and the support of the local community & businesses who believed in the product, I've been able to grow into a small but thriving business. All of our products are manufactured on beautiful Plum Island, Massachusetts, a small barrier island on the northern seacoast. My company produces a high-quality, all natural, gentle, yet effective product that is also affordable.

The Plum Island Soap Co. offers a full line of naturally scented soaps and more than 20 different skin care products for bath, beauty & baby. It's products are made from only vegetable-based ingredients, herbs, pure essential oils & minerals.
